Slowly but surely we're updating. We have been swamped with paying work and this page has suffered as a result.

The big Internet search Engines like Alta Vista show over 10,000 hits mentioning Corpus Christi. Yahoo!'s Index of Corpus Christi is a little more reasonable, but not being a full text system misses a lot. We are slowly but surely weeding our way through the Web to give you a quality Index of the Web In Corpus Christi. We do this as a public service.. well.. What's New

• In my search for a new hobby, I decided I'd look into diving, so I took some classes at Sea Sea Divers and Chuck (the owner.. his picture is by the BBQ pit on their Caribbean Adventures page) told me about their homepage. This new hobby may work out, especially if I can trade Web pages for air.
• While on the subject of diving, Check out Aquaman's Lagoon, featuring the underwater Photography of Debbie Witcher.
• Horton Automatics makes all sorts of cool doors and drive up windows, but used a Houston firm to design their Web site ;-).
• Several area Chambers of Commerce have joined the The Greater Corpus Christi Business Alliance online. Check out the Rockport-Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce, and Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce.
• While Surfing our neighbors in Port Aransas, you'll also find Port Aransas High School, and a Port A page sponsored by Condominium Consulting Management Services, Inc.
• One of the longer term players in the crowded web design field in Corpus is Alliance of Global Business Exchange, some of their clients, not listed elsewhere in Web Corpus are Rental & Sales Software Systems, Woolford Marketing, Onyx Gas Marketing, Printers Unlimited, Salvaggio Research Associates, Acrylic Creations, KEYS Radio 1440am, Remax Realty, andJack Graham.
• The best new page to pop up in Corpus in a long time is The Coastal Bend Connection with lots of information about what's happening in the city (kind of like the Weekender in the newspaper but better). If they keep this up-to-date, this will be the best non Farenthold Consulting site in Corpus! I hope they have the time and money to make this work.
• The Raven's Gallery is a collection of digitized pinups brought to you by Nick at The Raven & The Sparrow Internet Café. A guy in California sent us a letter and suggesting that we link to his pinups site instead claiming some sort of copyright dispute that Nick says is non existant. (By following any of these links, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Farenthold Consulting from any legal claims arising therefrom) :-) Coffeecup.com also has a Software Dowload Links Page and are creating a Book of Poems).
• Matt Hole and the Hot Rod Gang is a corpus band with a net page. All it's missing is an email link to the dancing girl on top of the page.
• Giggles Surf and Skate is selling skateboards and inline skates on the net. You can download a zip file with their catalog.
• Kleberg First National Bank in Kingsville has a brochure online with some details about their service… and hundred dollar bills in the background.
• "Come to the Coastal Bend of Texas for the Best Bay Fishing in North America" so says Coastal Bend Guides Association. On their new homepage put together by fishing guide and Web designer Captain Wallace Kelly.
• It's a good thing we here at Farenthold Consulting are a full service computer consulting firm (and a top notch designer), because there is lots of competition springing up in the Web design business like its-netime.
• The Corpus Christi Board of Realtors is now online so you can shop for a new home in Corpus Christi without from wherever you are. real estate shopping is a super Internet application.
• We haven't surfed all the Realtors online and added them to Web Corpus yet. Look for a big list of Realtors and real estate offerings online coming soon to Web Corpus (or surf through the Corpus Christi Board of Realtors), but in the meantime, Property Concepts, Inc, has emailed requesting a link to their page promoting their property management and residential real estate service.
• Radio Station C-101 is online with a site promoting their C-Sculptures beach party in June.
• Web Works is a Web design firm.
• Iris Internet Solutions in the latest addition to the Internet Service Provider game in the Coastal Bend.. They also do color output on a nice laser copier.
• KFTX-WILD Country Joins the parade of Corpus Radio Stations online. Check out the rather blurry pictures of some of the DJ's. It kinda breaks the illusion doesn't it?
• Linda and Paul at L&P Electronics are old drinkin buddies of some of the Farenthold Consulting personnel.. If you don't catch them on the Internet, you might find them on a Friday Evening at P.O.E.T.S. on Saratoga and Everheart.
• The Churches of Christ in Corpus Christi, Texas have a well done page despite the absence of a link to Web Corpus under their tourist page :--)
• KMXR gives you a chance to see their DJ's pictures to along with weekly notes from their program director and a wide assortment of links. Also conspicuously absent is the one to Web Corpus!

What's Hot

Aside from Our Stuff (this time of year our Ultimate South Texas Weather Page is the high tech way to track hurricanes). some Corpus area sites worth checking out include the. The Corpus Christi Caller Times., and their coolest feature, the ability to Search a partial archive of material from the paper.. There's also always the brother-in-law page, Software Kinetics, which is in fact my sister's-husband's brother's page. Citizens Bank has good pages that proves even a bank VP can learn to design web pages.

Some of the newer hot stuff includes The Coastal Bend Connection, an entertainment guide and more. If it's kept up to date, it'll be one of the most visited pages in town. Check out the Lists of Corpus Personal Homepages maintained by TAMUCC professor Kathryn R. Donohue. While at our local university, Dr. Pat Michaud's famous Strawberry Pop-Tart Blow-Torches is also worth a look.

  • It's kinda hard to find Dr. Pat Michaud's famous Strawberry Pop-Tart Blow-Torches page or it's companion Fun with Grapes - A Case Study (I suspect he doesn't want his students finding it!) He has an additional homepage behind the first, that you access by clicking on his name in the first page.
• Del Mar College finally got a school-wide homepage online, though the original Del Mar Collage Computer Science Dpt. Page has more interesting links, including a slightly out of date but still useful Comparison of Corpus Christi Internet Service Providers. Check out UCLA (University of Corpus, Left on Ayers)
• Marine Science Institute - University of Texas UT in Port A provides a peek into their facilities, (including everything you ever wanted to know about their boats), tide tables (slow graphics) and a current porjects page

• The Greater Corpus Christi Business Alliance (that's the Chamber of Commerce & Tourist Bureau if you're from anywhere but Corpus) including tourist and visitor information, information on The Port of Corpus Christi, and the Small Business Development Center [recently updated].
• American & Foreign Hubcaps & Accessories sells mail order custom and OEM wheelcovers via an 800 number.
• The Armchair Commanders Games & Hobbies sells board games, computer games, and role playing games.
• Business Today is a single page ad for a print magazine.
• Betty B's Ingleside Fashions on the net has a storefront and Johnny Mathis links.
• The Cantina Santa Fe, a pretty cool drinkin spot with their music schedule and menu online.
• The Corpus Christi Caller Times (our local daily paper) has an electronic edition that is graphic intense. Some of the updated daily. Their best feature allows you to do full text searches on back issues of the paper . Too bad they don't tell you how complete the database is (a search on "Farenthold" turned up this and this, but missed the big feature they did on personal homepages in November '95).
• Captain Wallace Kelley (the fishing guy on channel 6 news) has a home page for his fishing business with some cool fishing photos.
• Citizens Bank does a good corporate image page including Corpus Christi links and lots of info about the bank.
• Corpus Christi dot com is a Corpus Christi Electronic yellow pages, restaurant guide and more. There is a lot of good stuff. Too bad they compete with us for web design (buy a hyperlink listing from them and have us do your web page :-)
• CC Internet Mall (Would someone tell these carpetbaggers that Corpus is on the South side of the bay!)
• Da Hut was one of the first Corpus Christi Businesses on the net, but has one of the dullest presentations we've seen. Buy a color monitor guys!
• Fax Access from junk Faxes to the Internet.
• Half Price Books and Cafe Calypso (their in store coffee bar) both have a single page storefront.
• I Wear Tee Shirts sells Internet related T-shirts online.
• KRIS TV, our NBC affiliate Channel 6 is on the web, though they don't have the daily updates you'd hope for with news and full programming schedules, but they do have Dale Nelson's tomato tips, staff biographies, job listings, and quite a few links.
• Media Basics is a creative high tech advertising group that is having quite an effect on the way the tourism business is done in Corpus Christi.
• Medical Homepatient Equipment has information on Lymphedema on their storefront.
• On-Line International is promoting jobs, real estate and other business information.
• Pagan Lewis Motors.
• Pepe's Mexican Food Resteraunt has their menu on-line.
• Psytep Corporation scares me.. lotsa spy stuff and corporate intelligence stuff. If I say anything bad about them, I'm afraid I may find transcripts of our 1-900 calls posted somewhere.
• The Raven & The Sparrow Internet Cafe' has a graphics rich site with some Java animation.
• Routh & Associates is loss prevention consulting firm with a short blip on the net, their logo, however, didn't scan well.
• 6 West & Associates is a marketing/ad agency run in part by an old buddy of Blake's. Too bad they compete with Farenthold Consulting for Web design!
• Shelley's Travel Service has a page with lowest air fares from Corpus Christi updated weekly.
• Shirts & More (sorry about the typo on the last version of Web Corpus) has a simple page selling custom shirts, a computer T and an Interconnect (local ISP) shirt.
• Software Kinetics is my brother-in-law's software company.
• Spectrum Properties Real Estate and Investments has a few commercial properties listed online.
• TRAC (Travel Automation Consulting) is a consulting firm for travel agents.
• .wear@the net Sells Internet shirts & mugs. Nice catalog, cool products, but no forms based ordering.
• Whitten Real Estate in Port A has some condo and Single family listings. A Farenthold consulting client worth visiting if you wanna start livin' on island time.
• Winward Properties, a real estate firm has an on-line business card up, but no links. I suspect they are working on on-line listings which will be cool. Imagine browsing properties all over the world from the Internet. I want the MLS contract to move that book to the web!

• The La Belle Project is a cool site with updates on salving the wreck of the La Belle, believed to be one of La Salle's ships. Much of the work on this project is being done at the Corpus Christi Museum of Natural History.

• Historic rainfall Corpus or Other Texas Cities derived from The National Climatic Data Center is maintained by the Texas USGS.
• Information about auto racing course nationwide features the Cabaniss Home Page.
• The American Recovery Association Inc. (a trade group of repo men) has Web information on Universal Investigators in Corpus.
• There are also web sites down south worth checking out in The Rio Grande Valley and McAllen.

• Southwest Airlines (cool "home gate") profiles their destination cities, including Corpus Christi.
• The Tejano Page has a tribute to slain Corpus Christi tejano star Selena complete with an account of a visit to Corpus right after her tragic death. Also included are a ton of pictures and sound clips.
• In HotWired: World Beat - Rough Guide - Texas, Wired Magazine's electronic Rough Guide visits Corpus Christi.
• Corpus Windsurfing FAQ maintained by Andrew Condon in Dublin. It is also available via an FTP site at the University of Vermont.
