Farenthold Consulting
is growing. We are in the process of planning and building out
our new offices to better serve our clients. As a result we gave
fallen a bit behind updating our public service and promotional
web material like Web Corpus. Though we are doing what we have
to do, we feel bad we are so fare behind on projects like Web
Corpus. For that reason, we have put up this beta version of Web
Corpus to incorporate more current listings before we have had
a chance to flesh them out. Please excuse the appearance of these
pages, any typos, or bad links. This is not a production quality
page (yet) but it is more up to date than our main Web Corpus
Page.

The big Internet search Engines like Alta Vista
show over 10,000 hits mentioning Corpus Christi.
Yahoo!'s Index of Corpus Christi
is a little more reasonable, but not being a full text system
misses a lot. We are slowly but surely weeding our way through
the Web to give you a quality Index of the Web In Corpus Christi.
We do this as a public service.. well.. OK, we also do a little
shameless self promotion in hopes that if you need computer consulting

- A local TV guy collects World War II stuff and sells some
on his Militaria from World War II
page.. The page needs a little HTML work, but his products are
cool if you are into war memorabilia. Note: We'll take over
maintaining your collectibles page as a kickback if you can land
us your TV station as a client
- Channel View Condominium Port Aransas, Texas
is our client. They are an older property, but still one
of the best.. and they are right on the ship channel with a great
fishing pier.
- American Bank
joins their major local independent competitor (Citizens Bank)
on the web. It looks like American turned the web project over
to a professional (or someone in their Computer Dpt. while the
Citizen's page was done/inspired by one of their VP's). The American
page is slicker, but Citizens has more personality. American
Bank, however, wins in the long haul because Farenthold Consulting
is one of their depositors and we know everyone there…. Hi
guyes.. we're moving and may need a loan soon….)

worth checking out include the. The Corpus Christi Caller Times.,
and their coolest feature, the ability to Search a partial archive
of material from the paper.. There's also always the brother-in-law
page, Software Kinetics,
which is in fact my sister's-husband's brother's page. Citizens Bank
has good pages that proves even a bank VP can learn to design
web pages.
Some of the newer hot stuff includes The Coastal Bend Connection,
an entertainment guide and more. If it's kept up to date, it'll

in Port Aransas offers a cool fishing pier and nice condo rentals
on the Island.

has a Port Aransas page promoting rentals at La Marage,
Sandcastle, and
Sandpiper. If you

- The Corpus Christi Caller Times
(our local daily paper) has an electronic edition that is graphic
intense. Some of the updated daily. Their best feature allows
you to do full text searches on back issues of the paper
. Too bad they don't
tell you how complete the database is (a search on "Farenthold"
turned up this
and this,
but missed the big feature they did on personal homepages in November
'95).

(the fishing guy on channel 3) has a home page for his fishing
business with some cool fishing photos.
- Citizens Bank
does a good corporate image page including Corpus Christi links
and lots of info about the bank.
- "Come to the Coastal Bend of Texas for the Best Bay Fishing
in North America" so says Coastal Bend Guides Association.
- Corpus Christi dot com
is a Corpus Christi Electronic yellow pages, restaurant guide
and more. There is a lot of good stuff. Too bad they compete with
us for web design (buy a hyperlink listing from them and have
us do your web page :-)

is on the web,
though they don't have the daily updates you'd hope for with news
and full programming schedules, but they do have Dale Nelson's

has a graphics rich site with some Java animation.

is a collection of digitized pinups brought to you by Nick at
The Raven & The Sparrow Internet Café.
A guy in California sent us a letter and suggesting that we link
to his pinups site
instead claiming some sort of copyright dispute that Nick says
is non existant. (By following any of these links, you agree to

has a page with lowest air fares from Corpus Christi
updated weekly.

(sorry about the typo on the last version of Web Corpus) has a
simple page selling custom shirts, a computer T and an Interconnect
(local ISP) shirt.

- The La Belle Project
is a cool site with updates on salving the wreck of the La Belle,
believed to be one of La Salle's ships. Much of the work on this
project is being done at the Corpus Christi Museum of Natural
History.

- Historic rainfall Corpus
or Other Texas Cities
derived from The National Climatic Data Center is maintained by

Cabaniss Home Page.
- The American Recovery Association Inc.
(a trade group of repo men) has Web information on Universal Investigators
in Corpus.
- There are also web sites down south worth checking out in
The Rio Grande Valley
and McAllen.

we do dabble in web design) so we try to be fair in our editorial
